The Commissioners reviewed and voted to accept the minutes of the previous
meeting.
Sally Bates reported that the Charles Howard Foundation will contact the
commission when the project designer is ready to meet with commissioners on
the site of the proposed monument.
Penobscot Theatre and Bangor Symphony both provided proposals for “project
coordination and administration services-cultural survey”. Commissioners were
given copies to review, with a goal of making a decision at the next meeting on
April 27.
Debbie Cyr, Finance Director for the City of Bangor, participated in a discussion
about how the Commission can present its recommendation to City Council for
the FY 2007 budget appropriation. She suggested that the Commission structure
its recommendation in two parts, consisting of program funding and capital
funding.
