With discovery research, assessment, and public meetings now complete, the Commission asked John Rohman, as the Chair, to present the Draft of the Cultural Plan (vision, strategic objectives, and annual work plan) to the Business and Economic Development Committee of the Council. Once approved by that committee it will be submitted to Council. The Commissioners discussed how to gain broad based participation on the Commission from interested members of the community and concluded that John Rohman should suggest to the Business and Economic Development Committee adding one non-commissioner to each of the sub-committees. They also want to plan several meeting agendas for the next fiscal year as follows:  at least one of the commission meetings should be held in the evening to perhaps make it easier for the public to attend;  one of the meetings should host all of the arts groups;  one of the meetings should host Fusion. After discussion, the Commissioners developed $125,000 as their recommendation for FY 2008 Cultural Appropriation. This is equal to the amount of the FY 2007 appropriation.
