Title, Ordinance Amending Land Development Code — Zone Change -277 Grove Street from Urban Residence

Summary
The applicant, Robert A. Ingles, dba Babcock's Kustom Upholstery, is requesting a zone change for property
located at 177 Grove Street the corner of Grove Street and Stillwater Avenue, (Tax Map 046 Lot 131) from a
Urban Residence I District (URD1) to. a Neighborhood Service District (NSD). The property has been operated
as a neighborhood market and grocery store for many decades. The property was zoned as a residential
district as early as 1974, making the property nonconforming.

(TITLE.) Ord 1 n a n C e r Amending Land Development Code — Zone Change — 277 Grove Street
(Tax Map 046, Lot 131) from a Urban Residence 1 District to a Neighborhood Service District.
WHEREAS, Robert A. Ingles wants to relocate his upholstery shop to 277 Grove Street, and
WHEREAS, that site is has a long history of small grocery store and neighborhood market.
WHEREAS, the existing store at 277 Grove Street is in a Urban Residence 1 District, and nonconforming in
the District.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR AS FOLLOWS, THAT
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Bangor, as follows.-

THAT the zoning boundary lines as established by the Zoning Map of the City of Bangor dated October 28,
1991, as amended, be hereby further amended as follows:
By changing a parcel of land located at 277 Grove Street (Tax Map No. 046, lot 131) from a Urban Residential
1 District to a Neighborhood Service District. Said parcel of land containing approximately 4,356 sq. ft. and
being more particularly indicated on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof.
