Date: 10-25-96 Item No. 96-419
Item/Subject: RESOLVE, Appropriating Passenger Facility Chargee,
Bangor International Airport
Responsible Department: Finance
Commentary:
Over the past several years, the Council has taken a number of
formal actions to adopt Passenger Facility charges for the
Airport. These are
additional charge per ticketed passenger
which Federal Law allows us to collect and to use for capital
projects directly related to commercial aviation use of the
Airport. Under o adopted and FAA approved program, these foods
e to be used forrimprovements to the aircraft parking aprons
surrounding our terminal complex.
Council Order 96-316 authorized the City to expend these funds
for apron improvements. Funds will continue to be collected
through May 31, 2005.
The first phase of construction will begin this fiscal year. The
attached resolve will appropriate those funds which have
previously been received as well as future receipts to a capital
account designated for this purpose.
