At Cu6ED Committee discussion on 10/9/96, it was noted that the City's Parking Ordinance does not contain an exception for service and delivery vehicles. On review, it also appears that the Parking Ordinance does not contain an exception for emergency vehicles.. Rather than require our police. officers to write themselves parking tickets whenever emergency situations rgulre- them to violate posted parking regulations, this amendment would Provide a limited exception for police, fire, ambulance and rescue vehicles. The issue of service and delivery vehicles is not addressed in this amendment. -210 Department Head Manager's Comments: CYE.D. ✓PK 1p.D6 n /^/'ry✓////, J 14A city Manager Associated Information Finance Director 6egai Approval: pi will ✓fain I'iv ldul tiw vok5 pwy V)Rn Q I, Bp v'//KA AIdM CdMA+i W- jm City Solicitor Passage X First Reading `C Referral 0 (ffb (;M Page 1 of 2 0,23fi 96-409 THAT Chapter I11, Article 6, Section 1 of the Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor is hereby amended by the addition of a new subsection 1.5, as follows: 1.5 Emergency vehicles Excepted.
