Item/Subject: ORDER, Authorizing Submission of Mail Ballot for
the 1996-97 Maine Municipal Association elate of
Officere and Voting Delegates to the MMA Annual
Meeting
Responsible Department: Executive
Each year, M1A member communities have an opportunity to vote for
Officers, Executive Committee Members and Advisory Committee
members. The attached slate of officers has been proposed by the
MMA Nominating Committee. The Order directs the City Clerk to
cast Bangor's ballot for the slate as prepared.
Additionally, the Order appoints Councilor Sullivan as a voting
delegate and Edward Barrett as alternate voting delegate to the
HMA Annual Meeting,

THAT
the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to cast the mail ballot for the election of Baine Municipal
Association officers, Executive Committee Members and Advisory
Committee Sexists for 1996-97 in accordance with the
recommendation of the HKA Nominating Committee;
AND BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, THAT Councilor Charles
Sullivan is hereby designated as the voting delegate and City
Manager Edward Barrett as alternate voting delegate to the Maine
Municipal Association annual meeting in Portland on October 23-
25, 1996.
