In June, 1994, the City recorded £off sewer liens on property at
148 Garland Street, which have now Atured. On September 3, 1996,
and without a workout agreement, th9 property owner's mother paid
all sewer charges and all real estate taxes on the property. .The
Finance Committee recommended approval of a Municipal Quitclaim
Deed at its meeting on September 16, 1996. The attached Order
would authorise release of the City's title.

ORDERED,
TUT Ronald 1. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
,Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 148 Garland Street in said Bangor by virtue of
matured municipal sewer charge and real estate tax liens recorded _
in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to
Carl P. Broad.

The CITY OF BANGOR, anicipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration.
paid, releasea to CARL F. BROAD of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine,
as Grantee, a certain lot or parcel of land together with any
Improvements thereon, situated in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine,
more particularly described as follows:
A certain lot or parcel of land, with the
buildings thereon, situate in said Bangor,
bounded and described as follows, v
Beginning at a point in the northerly line of
Garland Street where the westerly line of Palm
Street intersects said northerly line of Garland
Street; thence northerly on the said westerly
line of Palm Street one hundred and nine (109)
feet to a lot of land now or formerly owned by
Thomas H. Dodge; thence westerly by the
southerly line of said Dodge lot fifty (50)
feet; thence southerly one hundred and nine
(109) feet to said northerly line of said
Garland Street; thence easterly by said
northerly line of Garland Street fifty (50) feet
to the point ofbeginning.
Being the same premises as described in a
Warranty Deed from Blvina F. Savoy to Carl F.
Broad, dated March 24, 1991 and recorded in Book
3167, Page 101, Penobscot Registry of Deeds.
Any and all other rights, easements, privileges
and appurtenances belonging to the granted
estate are hereby conveyed.
The purpose of this dead is to release to the Grantee any
interest the Grantor may have in the above described property by
virtue of tax Bud sewer liens recorded in Book 5643, Page 149; Book
5643, Page 150; Book 5643, Page 151; Book 5643, Page 152; and Book
5660, Page 326, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. All public easements
or other public interests in the described premises for roads,
sewers, or other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
salad with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of September, 1996.,
