In fact, there was an overpayment on the sewer bill and he now has a credit of $790.81. The Finance Committee recommended approval of a.Municipal Quitclaim Deed at its meeting on August 5, 1996- The attached Order would authorize release of the City's title, as required by the workout agreement. Meller, Finance Director, is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real estate located at 42 and 44 Catell Street in said Bangor by virtue of matured municipal sewer charge liana recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Stephen Cough, as grantee. Council.man 96-333 MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED The CITY OF BANGOR, scipal corporation located in Bangor, Penobscot County, Mine,asGrantor, for consideration paid, releases to STEPHEN COUGH Of Hulls Cove, Hancock County, Maine, as Grantee, certain lots Or parcels of land together with any improvements thereon, situated in Bangor, Penobscot County, Mine, more particularly described as follows: FIRST LOT: Being lot 12 according to Coombe Plan recorded in Penobscot Registry Of Deeds, Plan Book, Page 29, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the southerly side of Catell Street where lot 11 intersects lot 12 as per said plan, 100' to the dividing line between land now or formerly of J. P. Bass, and land owned by the City of Bangor; thence easterly on said dividing line 50'; thence northerly 100' to the point begun at. Also including the right to enter the sewer, as granted to One Hundred Associates of Bangor by Mellen N. Atkins at al, by deed dated April 9, 1909, and recorded in said Penobscot Registry of Deeds, Book 800, Page 43; SUBJECT, however, to a right of passage over avn foot strip off the easterly side of the above described lot and extending its entire depth, as described in a deed from Louis Hirstein c Sons to George P. Gould, dated July 15, 1913 and recorded in Book 846, Page 174. SECOND LOT: Commencing at a point on the southerly side of Catell Street where lot 10 intersects lot 11; thence westerly on the southerly side of Catell Street 501; thence southerly 100' to dividing line between former Bass land and land owned by City of Bangor; thence easterly on said dividing line 50'; thence northerly 100' to Catell Street to point of beginning. Together with the right to enter the sewer without charge from the City a granted to Mellen N. Atkins at al by Joseph P. Bass by deed dated October 17, 1906, recorded in Vol. 769, Page 35. Also a right of way over a 7' strip off the easterly side of lot 12 extending back the entire depth of the lot, to be forever kept open and to be used in common by the parties hereto, their heirs and assigns. Being the same premises as described in a warranty Deed from Bernard E. Cough to the Grantee herein, dated September 14, 1972 and recorded in Volume 2307, Page 70, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Any and all other rights, easements, privileges and appurtenances belonging to the granted estate are hereby conveyed. 96-333 The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any interest the Grantor may have in the above described property by virtue of s charge liens recorded in Book 5642, Page 135; Book 5642, Page 136; Book 5642, Page 137; Book 5642, Page 143; Book 5642, Page 146 and Book 5642, Page 147, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. All public easements or other public interests in the described premises forroads, sewers, or other purposes are expressly reserved.
