change at its regularly scheduled meeting of ,July 16, 1996.

of the proposed change.
Kathleen Crawford, an shutting property owner, spoke in opposition.
The Planning Board voted 5 to 0 in favor of a motion to recommend
to the City Council that this zone change request be approved.

THAT the Boning boundary lines as established by the Boning Map of
the City of Bangor dated October 28, 1991, as amended, be hereby
further amended as follows:
By changing a parcel of land located at 268 State Strest(Tax Map
No. 54, Part of Parcel 6]) from urban Residence 2 District to
Multi -Family and Service District. Said parcel containing
approximately 2,240 sq. ft. and being more particularly indicated
on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof.

a. GENERAL DESCRIPTION. Applicant requests a zone Change from
Urban Residence 2 District to Multi -family and Service
District for a parcel containing approximately 2,240 sq. ft.
located at 268 State Street.
b. LAND usB AND 20NING Pocicy. The proposed property i6
located in an area of State Street that has a zoning policy
of Multi -family and Service district for the lots that front
onto State Street. Staff feels that the proposed zone
change is consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and
the uses in the area.
C. URBAN SERVICES. The proposed parcel has the full range of
urban services andis within the Primary Service Area.
d. NSISTINC. CONDITIONS. The subject parcel is approximately
20,443 sq. ft. of which 10,000 sq. ft. is zoned M 6 SD and
the remainder is URD - 2. Applicant wishes to construct a
building addition to the north end of the .existing_Togethera_—
Place office facility and requests a 20 foot strip of land
rezoned N 6 SD onthe rear of the parcel. (Presently,
Together Place, Inc. also has a drop in place located on
Union Street.) The zoning to the east of the site is N a.SD
and to the west is N 6 SD, also.
e. DECISION CRITRRIA. The proposed zone change appears to be
consistent with both the City's Comprehensive Plan and the
zoning in the immediate area. Staff would recommend that
the Planning Board recommend the proposed zone change to the
City Council.
