The City acquired title to 9 Yankee Avenue by virtue of a matured
tax lien. This property, together with two other parcels, were the
subject of a foreclosure action brought by Bangor Savings Bank.
Bangor Savings Bank has paid all outstanding taxes on this account,
and the administrative quitclaim fee. All outstanding assessments
sments
n the -other two parcels were to be paid at the Bank's sale last
week.
The Finance Committee recommended approval of this at its June 3rd
meeting.

ORDERED,
THAT Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate (land) located at 9Yankee Avenue in said Bangor by virtue
of an undischarged municipal real estate tax lien recorded in the
Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Bangor
Savings Bank, successor in interest to All Seasons Land, Inc.

MINICIPAL OMITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located i
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
paid, releases to BANGOR SAVINGS BANK, successor in interest to All
Seasons Land, Inc., of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantee,
all right, title and interest of the Grantor in and to the land
located in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, more particularly
described as follows:
Real estate located at 9 Yankee Avenue (land) in
said Bangor, and further described in Volume
4360, Page 329; volume 4781, Page 327; and
Volume 4958, Page 8, Penobscot Registry of
Deeds. Designated as City Real Estate Account
Number 59231, Assessor's Map R14, Lot 201.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for tax year
1994 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
corded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in
volume 5660, Page 274. 1
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the
City may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid
taxes assessed for the tax year 1994. All public easements or
other public interests in the described premises for roads, sewers,
or other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of June, 1996.
