Scott's strong and stable leadership was essential to the Department during the search for a replacement for retired Chief John Foley. During this period, Scott continued to guide the Department forward and to build upon its tradition of excellence. His commitment to the Department and the City has been essential during a period of continued rapid change and challenge. Manager I Comments: As Scott's direct supervisor, I would also like to express my thanks to him for a job well done. In many ways, an acting position places greater challenges and demands on an individual than a permanent appointment. Scott met these challenges and has provided an invaluable service to the Department and the City during this period of transition, Associated Information: Resolve Budget Approval: Legal Approval _ troducsl For Passage _ First Reading Page_of_ _ Referral 96-223 Assigned to £Wil council Mary I1, 1111 CITY OF BANGOR (TITLE.) poofilC Expressing Appreciation to Scott Bostock ......._...... ...... ....
