Summary In 2000, a real estate tax lien was filed on the property of Charles and Judith Hodsdon of 706 Hammond Street. The taxes were paid at some point before maturity of the lien, however, the discharge of the lien referenced an incorrect book number. Therefore, a municipal quitclaim deed is required to clear title to the property. Staff recommends approval. Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, Deborah A. Cyr, Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have by virtue of an undischarged real estate tax lien recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Book 7407, Page 43. Said deed shall be directed to Charles W. Hodsdon, II and Judith A. Hodsdon in final form approved by the City Solicitor or Assistant City Solicitor.
