This is the first of a five-year grant totaling $625,000 which is renewable annually for $125,000 each year. The term of the first year is September 29, 2017 to September 28, 2018. This is the second five-year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The grant will support the ongoing work of the Drug Free Communities coalition in the Greater Bangor region that was established in 2012. This item was reviewed and referred for full council action at the October 2, 2017 Government Operations Committee meeting.
