item No. 96-165
Date March 25, 1996
Item/Subject: Amending Council Order 96-22 (Discontinuance of
Patten Street as a Public Way Between Main Street and Hellier
Street)
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary: The attached Council Order will amend Council Order
96-22 (discontinuing a portion of Patten Street) to extinguish
public easements. In substitution for the existing public
easements, the City and the Bangor Water District will receive
deeded easements for public water and sewer at the time this
property is formally conveyed to the Shaw's project developer.
This action is necessary due to a contemplated relocation of the
existing sewer and water lines, and for the developer's title
insurance purposes.
