Commentary; Attached you will find a proposal from NORESCO to undertake
an orgy co rvatien project at the Civic Center. The net cost of the
project i estimated to be $40,160 with annual electrical savings of
$14,690. In addition, this proposal will eliminate anticipated costs to
repair and keep operational the Civic Center's lighting system.
Funding Ior this project is available within axisting capital projects
for the Complex. The Order will authorize the transfer of $43,000 from
these projects to a new capital project to be established for this
purpose. The additional funds will be used for ballast and light
disposal.
This proposal has been discussed on several occasions by the Bass Park
Committee and, at its most recent meeting, byTheCommittee
which reends your approval. A companion Resolve found elsewhere on
tonight's will appropriate an additional $30,000 for other
project coats associated win the demolition of the existing lights and
ceiling in Conference Rooms A -F.

Enclosed with Noresco's Proposal is a reflected ceiling plan of one of the typical
Conference Rooms A.F. The main lighting would be standard 2'x 4' fixtures
with three lighting levels in the center and reduced wattage dimmable
incandescent perimeter fixtures, utilizing the existing dimming system. The table
shows the considerable yearly energy savings and relatively short payback
period.
