Conmtentvy: The anaclxd Council Order would convey a Pole Line Besernant across Airport land to
the Bangor Hydra, Electric Compatry, to establish new dedricd service to eisting FAA Building No 530,
located off the northerly end of taxiway V. Building 530 contains electrical equipment which controls
the mnway'15' approach system. Power mrtendy is fedfrom BHB line 3g which will be removedfrom
around the north and of the noway. Part of the proposed easement location includes an existing pole
line owned by the City which will be conveyed to BM as part of live Action. This proposed Action has
been reviewed by the Airport Manager, who is in agreement.
Attached is relevant correspondence &am Bangor Hydro, a skuch showing the location of the proposed
Consultant, and copies of the easemem document and Bill of Sale..

Bangor Hydro Electric Company for an overhead pole line beginning at the
number; of Downing Road and nursing along that potion of the Downing Road
which was disetanimed in 1993, theme extending southwesterly approximately
165 kat to an existing pole line owned "a City of Bangor, and continuing along
said existing pole lim to FAA Building No. 530, and

that the City Manager is directed to execute a Bill of gale conveying ownership of
.the existing City ofBangor pole line included in the casement herein to the Bangor

for consideration given by BANGOR HYDRO -ELECTRIC COMPANY, acorperation organized and existing
under the laws of the State of Maine and having its principal place of Intends at 33 State Street, Bangor, County
of Penobscot, State of Maine, the receipt whereof is hereby actaowledged, do hereby give, grant and convey to
said Bangor Hydro -Electric Company, its successors and assigns forever, the rights; privileges and eaamems to
construct, maintain, operate and upgrade from time to time on said lands, for utility purposes, a line consisting of
poles, anchors and wires with the necessary fames and supports, beg'uming at the terminus of the Downing
Road and running southwesterly 4 along and adjacent a that portion of the Downing Road discontinued in
1993 a distance of approximately 1355 feet to a claim gNk farce located at or near the former terminus of said
road; fiance southwesterly approximately 165 feet to an existing utility pole located mordantly of an existing
gravel access road; thence generally westerly following the existing utility line to the southeasterly bound of
Parcel A -I shown oa aforesaid plan and described in Book 5227, Page 64 and continuing along said line
generallywestedy, over and across the aforesaid parcel within 25 feet of its most southerly comer, to its
southwesterly bound and continuing along said line generally westerly to an existing utility pole a total distance
of approximately 515 feet; thence generally northwesterly following said existing mility line, about parallel to and
approximately 60 fen fiom, the chain link Ince located on the Grantors premises at or near its northeasterly
Property bound, a distance of approximately 900 fat to an existing utility pole located north of and it proximity
to, buildings now occupied by the FAA; thence continuing generally northwesterly approximately W feet to a
new utility pole location; thence generally southwesterly approximately 135 feet to an existing utility pole located
southwesterly of said FAA buildings; with the right In extend lines from said line from time to time to provide
service to sites on said premises mad to others along Do coding Road; with the right to transmit electricity and
intelligence ova said line, and to clear and dispose of interfering trees and other growth from fine to time, with

Company, its successors and assigns, the power to assign to others, in whole or in part, any or all of the rights,
privileges and easements herein an forth.
The Grantor for itself, and its successors and assigns, covenants and agrees to and with the Gramee, us
successors and assigns, that it will not erect or maidain or permit the section or maintenance of my building,
trailer, mobile home, awimming pod, or other structure, of my kind or nature, within 15 feet of said line any or
all of which in the opinion of the Grantee, its successors and assigns, would endanger or interfere with the
exercise of any of the rights, privileges and easements hereby conveyed.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said rights, privileges and easements to said Bangor Hydro -Electric
Company, its successors and assigns, forever.

located in the County of Penobscot and State of Maim being the owner of certain goods and chattels described
below and being located in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, for consideration given by
BANGOR HYDRO -ELECTRIC COMPANY, a Maine corporation having a place of business at 33 State
Street, Bangor, County of Penobscm, State of Maine, the raeipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby
gran, sell, convey, transfr and deliver, unto the said Bangor Hydro -Electric Company, the following described
goods and chattels, namely:
Twelve (12) utility poles with all the existing wires, fixtures and supports as the same are now
located on property owned by the City of Bangor at the former terminus of the Doloning Road as
discontinued in 1993;
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular the said goods and chattels to the said Bangor Hydro -
Electric Company, its successors and assigns, to their own use and behoof forever.
And it does hereby covenant with the said Bangor Hydro -Electric Company that it is the lawfid owner of
the said goods and chattels; that they are five Gom all encumbrances, that it bas good right to sell the same as
aforesaid; and that it will warrant and defend the same none it the said Bangor Hydro -Electric Company, its
successors or assigns, against the lawful claims and demavds of ail persons.

Re: Basement and bill of sale for new electric service to FAA, Bangor, Maine
Dear Jim:
At this time there is a very good chance that Bangor Hydro's transmission line near the
mdoftherunwayinBangorand Hemmn(Line#38)willberemoved. Thereisabuildingon
City of Bangor property near the runway which is prdendy occupied by the FAA and to which
weare providing service from Line#38. The Air NadonalC referstothisbuildingas
Building No. 530 on its plans (partied copy enclosed).
Bangor Hydro has proposed a new route to provide electric service to Building No. 530
which we have presented to Mr Ziegler at)314, Pve mentioned it to you and I've tried to contact
W Stumpfeldm regard to it without success. We propose to extend our existing line on
Downing Road to its terminus and than continue along the discontinued portion to the chain fink
fence. From there we would lie into anexisting line owned by the City of Bangor and follow it
northwesterly to Budding No. 530 (sketch enclosed). We would own this line including the
section of fine presently owned by the City
I have mclosed an ensemem deed and abill of sale for your inspection. Please verify the
source deed references in the easement document If these meet with the City's approval, please
have them properly executed and returned to me in the enclosed self-addressed envelope.
