1.Consent Agenda
a.Report of Used Vehicle Acquisition –Airport –Varney GMC -$42,800
Motion made and seconded to accept consent agenda, motion passed unanimously.
2.Bids/Purchasing
a.Utility Marking Services –Citywide –Centerline Utility Locating -$19,100
Motion made and seconded to award contract to Centerline Utility Locating, motion
passed unanimously.
b.Request to Waive Bid Process –Traffic Signal Detection Equipment –Public Works –
Highway Tech -$10,460
Motion made and seconded to purchase equipment from Highway Tech, motion passed
unanimously.
c.Request to Piggyback on State Contract -Copier Leases –Airport –Ricoh -$19,719
Motion made and seconded to execute copier leases with Ricoh, motion passed
unanimously.
d.Request to Piggyback on State of Connecticut Contract –Buses –Community
Connector -$2,120,000
Motion made and seconded to recommend authorizing a contract with Gillig via the
State of Connecticut contract to the City Council, motion passed unanimously.
e.Request to Execute Contract for Secondary Active Zone –Penobscot River
Remediation–Burns & McDonnell -$500,000
Motion made and seconded to recommend authorizing a contract with Bruns &
McDonnell to the City Council, motion passed unanimously.
3.Special Finance Committee Meeting September 12, 2017
Staff provided an update on the need to schedule a meeting on September 12, 2017 to
approve the details of theCity’s general obligation bond sale.
Meeting adjourned 5:35 pm
