This bid included Bangor Water District work as well, the City cost of this project is $1,248,345. The project includes the replacement and separation of sewer and stormwater (only French Street will remain a combined system due to limitations of space). The French Street portion of the project will begin this fall, and it as well as the balance of the project will be completed in 2018. The French Street portion of the work will be from State Street to Somerset. The State Street portion of the work will be from Broadway to Exchange (the Water District work will include the replacement of a the State Street line from Exchange to the Kenduskeag bridge).
