COUNCILOR Called to Order at 7:30p.m. Solicitor Heitmann opened the meeting and accepte4d nominations for Chair Pro Tem Nomination made and Seconded for Councilor Bronson to serve as Chair Pro Tem Motion Made and Seconded to Cease Nominations Passed Chaired by Council Chair Pro Tem Bronson Councilors Present: All Except Hawes Adjourned at 8:25 p.m. Proclamation: Proclaiming August 1 to 5, 2011 As Responsible Gaming Education Week PALMER Recognition: Recognizing the Retirement of Anne Mundy GRATWICK PUBLIC COMMENT: Mr. Joe Conklin, 15 Mitchell Street, expressed concern regarding Penobscot Job Corp students loitering around the Airport Mall and surrounding neighborhoods and the associated increased crime. Mr. Conklin presented the Council with a petitions with over 100 signatures. Chief Gastia agreed that there are issues in that area but they are handled on a case-by-case basis. this issue will be discussed in more detail at a future date.
