ACTION Motion Made and Seconded for Passage Motion Made and Seconded to Amend by Substitution Passed Ms. Valerie Carter, 112 Birch Street expressed concern over the $130,496 budget cuts and stated that the strategy to approach the Budget with a zero tax increase is not a good strategy. Mr. Nick Bearce, 27 Dillingham Street, agreed with Ms. Carter and also stated that the School Board did not probe the numbers or look for innovative ideas and urged the council to vote the Budget down. Mr. Dan Tremble, 20 Montgomery Street, thanked the School Board and staff and stated that the School Board had made tremendous cuts and urged council support. Ms. Ann Schonberger, 40 Garland Street, praised the schools and urged the council to keep academic and extra-curricular Programs. Mr. Dan Stanweise, 201 Elm Street, urged council support.
