Public Hearings
1. 5 High Street – Together Place Housing
To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to cover all existing clapboards
with vinyl siding. Continued from January 10, 2002 meeting.
Action Taken: Applicant withdrew application on February 13, 2002.
2. 27 State Street - General Dynamics – Wireless Services
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to
install three (3) 51" x 6.7" x 1.7" cellular PCS antennas mounted on a 20' tower above the
roof level at 27 State Street, Bangor. The antenna pole to be installed on existing tower
base where former tower was located on the roof.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by
a vote of 5 – 0.
3. 72-80 Columbia Street – House Revivers
To consider a request for Design Review approval to replace wood double hung windows
(1/1) with wood double hung thermopane windows (1/1) same configuration. Replace
sash only.
Action Taken: Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 – 0.
4. 26-28 Main Street – Bill Masters
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval
regarding a large picture window on the fourth floor which has been replaced due to its
deteriorated condition. Replacement window is 2-piece thermal pane glass. Existing
window sill that was rotted has been removed and replaced with pressure treated lumber
and entire wood frame, to include the sill, has been clad in brick red aluminum.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval denied by a
vote of 3-2. (An affirmative vote of four members is required to issue a Certificate of
Appropriateness.)
