PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. 28 Main Street – Stephen and Milva Smith
To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to

expand the existing deck on the top of the 5 floor building from its current dimensions
of 16’ x 16’ x 4’ to 26’ x 16’ x 4’.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a
vote of 5 to 0.
2. 130 Hammond Street – Cyrus Clark House Associates
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness to remove the handicap ramp on
North High Street side, add railing to walkway on North High Street. New railing will
match existing railing.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 4 to 0 with 1
abstention.
3. 36 (34-36) Main Street – House Revivers
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval
to replace windows on the second, third and fourth floors with Norwood Vintage Series
6/6 wood windows, white outside. Size will be the same as existing windows. Proposal
to include installation of windows in two closed in window openings on the front façade.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a
vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that instead of white outside, the color is to match trim
and painted granite lintels.
4. 40 High Street – Anastasia International
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness to reroof the building.
Action Taken: Application withdrawn by applicant.
The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor Council
Chambers.
