PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. 92 Central Street – Lisa Lebel d/b/a Silo 7
To consider a request for a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to
install a walls sign.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a
vote of 5 to 0.
2. 73 Harlow Street – City of Bangor
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace a chimney
cap.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
3. 208 French Street – Joseph Philippon
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to install a protective
canopy over new landing and replaced stairs.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
Proposal amended at the meeting in order to match pitch of proposed canopy with that of
the pitch of dormers. Contingent upon applicant submitting revised drawing. (revised
drawing received August 18, 2008.)
4. 132-134 Park Street – House Revivers
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace a tar and
gravel roof with black EPDM .060 rubber roof.
Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by
vote of 5 to 0.
5. 455 Harlow Street – House Revivers
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to install a Harvey
Truchannel storm windows to street side and southerly side of first floor windows and
install Harvey Full-lie storm door on main door.
Action Taken: Proposal was split into two separate items. Storm window proposal
withdrawn by the applicant and will be brought back to the Commission in September.
Storm door proposal was reviewed and Certificate of Appropriateness approval
granted by a vote of 5 to 0.
The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor
Council Chambers.
