Paul Pasquine Don Lewis Denise Simoneau Associate Member Present: James Davitt Historical Consultant Present: Bob Kelly City Staff Present: Jeremy Martin PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. 19 West Broadway – Mary and George Wright To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to replace large and historically inappropriate window with three double hungs to match architecture; replace one single double hung with two double hung – south wall (kitchen); replace current entrance door with historical door and wooden screen door; remove shrubs and add single step off from porch. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition trim work is added below windows to match existing trim below windows and to paint mutins and window trim black. Additionally, the motion approved the installation of a wooden screen door and storm door. 2. 288 Union Street – Seminary Housing Partners, L.P. To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval for renovation/ addition to Maine Hall meeting Federal/State preservation standards. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0 with the condition that final details on windows, doors and shingles be submitted for approval at a later date. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m, City Council chambers.
