4. 69 Highland Avenue – House Revivers
To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to install a 4’ high
ornamental iron fence.
Action Taken: After much discussion over the appropriateness of the proposed black
chain link fence along entire length of the properties rear (side) line. A motion was made
by Commissioner Williams to approve as proposed. The motion failed to get a second
and a new motion was made by Commissioner Simoneau to approve a Certificate of
Appropriateness for the installation of the five foot ornamental fence as proposed and the
installation of the ornamental fence along the first 20’ of the rear (side) yard and then the
installation of the chain link fence along the remainder of the property line. The motion
allows the homeowner to install the ornamental fence along the entire length of the rear
(side) property line in place of any chain link fence. The Certificate of Appropriateness
