Martin City Staff Present: Jeremy Martin Jennifer Boothroyd PUBLIC HEARINGS 1. 455 Harlow Street – Deighan Associates Inc. (Deighan Wealth Advisors) To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to change the face of two existing signs to reflect name change. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness approval granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 2. 38 Main Street – Bob Gilgan, Bella Hair Studio To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval to install a fixed awning with signage. Awning to match adjacent Bella Hair Studio. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 3. 11 Central Street – Mark Sampson, Central Realty To consider a request for Design Review approval to replace existing entrance doors, install an awning, and replace existing front exterior front exterior windows. Action Taken: Design Review granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 4. 331 Hammond Street – John Karnes To consider a request for Certificate of Appropriateness approval to rehabilitate the exterior as follows: (1) replace storm windows where needed using Harvey True Channel triple track storm windows, (2) repair slate roof with same materials, (3) scrape, prime and paint clapboards on the entire exterior of the building, (4) replace rotted/deteriorated boards as needed with like materials, (5) re-glaze and paint existing windows, (6) install three new entry doors using Simpson Model 43130 doors, (7) remove one rollup overhead garage door, and install new custom-made window to match existing one complete with trim and new storm window, (8) repair/replace existing steps and porches with like materials, (9) remove existing bulkhead door and re-brick opening, restoring the original look, (10) retain, repair and repaint all exterior trim and wood features, (11) replace brick skirting around perimeter of garage with like materials. Action Taken: Certificate of Appropriateness granted by a vote of 5 to 0. 5. 190 Harlow Street – Arayos LLC th To consider a request for Design Review approval to (1) add 4 roof-mounted HVAC, (2) replace/install wall mount A/C units, (3) add single glass door on parking lot side of building. Action Taken: Design Review granted by a vote of 5 to 0. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, August 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the third floor Council Chambers.
