Bangor, is hereby amended through the addition of rhe following:
Congress Street Commencing at the easterly cabline of French Street end
extending on the westerly curbllne of Broadway on the
southerly side of said soce as defined by signs.

A Council Ordinance bas been prepared by the Police Department which would amused
the parting ordinances to probibit parking on a porton of the southerly side of Congress
Street.
This change is necessary to allow implementation of offsite improvements which are a
candltlon of site location approval of the St. Joseph's Hospital Expansion project. These
improvements involve installation of a small tragic conterl island a the intersection of
Congress Street at Broadway, and prohibition oflert turns onto Broadway at this location,
which are nevessary to mitigate traffic impacts of the protect In order to provide
sufficient space to install the island, parking will neN to be restricted on the south side of
Congress Street as indicated in the proposed Onlinence Revision-
The
evision
The Revision was originally prepared last fell, but swt placed on a Council Agenda
because the improvements were not to be implemented until this summer.
