The education oppanuities provided by BMTC not only enhance the skills of our workforce and those preparing for employment, but serve the employers in our community through programs designed w eNmnce the skill and productivity of Obese who we already employed. FMTC has beau and continues to be important to the economic development efforts of the region. . The attached Resolve has been requested by Councilor Aube and is recommended for your approval. WHEREAS, For 30 years, Eastern Maine Technical College has been a widelyrecognved and highly respected resource for trchmail education in the region; and WEIDREAS, EMTC bas provided a quality and stable worktirce for the region through its focus on students and the opportunities which it provides to acquire the fill range of skills necessary for gainful employment in a global marketplace; and WHEREAS, EMTC hes provided educational services in a wide range of area businesses and iMuguies to insist than m improving their workberce and productivity and to enforce their ability to effectively compete; and WHEREAS, as aquaitytwo year technical college, EMW will continue to play a critical role in the economic fixture of the Greater Burger Region and the State of Maine.
