Commentary:
our office was notified by Dirigo Title Company that a tax lien
assessed against real estate located at 398 Ohio Street and
currently owned by Asa Picard has previously been paid, but not
discharged. The tax lien in question was recorded in 1978. The
attached Order would authorize the release of the City's title in
the property. The administrative quitclaim fee has been paid, and
the tax account is otherwise current.

Ronald 1. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 398 OhioStreet in said Bangor by virtue of an
undischarged real estate tax lien for fiscal year 1978 recorded in -
the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Book 2864, Page 326. Said deed
shall be directed to Asa Picard, successor in title to Jamie B.
Stubbs.

The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
paid, releases to ASA PICARD, as Grantee, of Bangor, Penobscot
County, Maine, successor in title to Jamie B. Stubbs, all its
right, title and interest in and t0 certain property located in
said Bangor and more particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 398 Ohio Street in said
Bangor, and further described in Book 6135, Page
39, Penobscot Registry of needs. Said property
is further designated as City real estate
account number 98699, Assessor's Map 20, Lot 60.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for the year
1978 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of
needs in Book 2864, Page 326.
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the
City may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid
real estate taxes assessed for the year 1978. All public easements
or other public interests in the described premises for roads,
sewers, or other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
Baled with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of April, 1997.
