In late December, 1996, the taxpayer paid his outstanding 1995 real
estate taxes, together with the administrative quitclaim fee.
There was
workout agreement in place. Because this payment was
received after the redemption period had expired, Council
authorization is needed to release the City's interest by virtue Of
the lien. This Order would authorize the execution of the deed.
The tax account is otherwise current.

ORDERED,
THAT Ronald 1. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 111 Church Road (land) in said Bangor by virtue
of a municipal tax lien for fiscal year 1995 recorded in the
Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Don A.
Grant, and shall be in the form attached to this Order.

MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a body corporate, located in Bangor,
Penobscot County, Maine, for consideration paid, releases to DON A.
GRANT, of Wasilla, Alaska, the property located in said Bangor and
more particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 111 Church Road (land) in
said Bangor, and further described in Volume
4097, Page 37, Penobscot Registry of Deeds.
This property is further designated a real
estate account number 53269. Assessor's Map R30,
Lot 6E.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for the tax
year 1995 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in
Volume 5875, Page 163.
The purpose of thisdeedis to release any interest the City
may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid taxes
assessed for the tax year 1995. All public easements or other
public interests in the described premises for roads, sewers, or
other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized. this
day of January, 1997.
