Recently, the taxpayer paid the balance due on the 1994 real estate
tax lien recorded against property at 53 Charles Street, together
with the administrative quitclaim fee. There are still outstanding
taxes due against the property at 53 Charles Street for tax years
1995, 1996 and 1997.
The attached Order, if approved, would authorize a release of the
City's title.

ORDEREM,
TBAT Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 53 Charles Street in said Bangor by virtue of an
undischarged municipal tax lien for fiscal year 1994 recorded in
the Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to
Lincoln Calcord Properties -Bangor, Inc., and shall be in the form
attached to this Order.

The CITY OF BANGOR, a body corporate, located in Bangor,
Penobscot County, Maine, for consideration paid, releases to
LINCOLN COLCORD PROPERTIES -BANGOR, INC., Of Orrington. Penobscot
County, Maine, the property located in said Bangor and more
particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 53 Charles Street in said
Bangor, and further described in Volume 4893,
Page 354 and Volume 5573, Page 119, Penobscot
Registry of Deeds. This property is further
designated as
real 'estate account number 49157,
Assessor's Map 32, Lot 26.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for the tax
year 1994 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in
Volume 5661, Page 259.
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the City
may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid taxes
assessed for the tax year 1994. All public easements or other
public interests in the described premises for roads, sewers, or
other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of January, 1999.
