ORDERED, rt TEAT the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to file an application to the Maine Department of Transportation for so-called "Enhancement Grant' monies provided by the Federal Goverment under the 1991 Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act. AMD THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept such grant monies, if awarded, and expend them in accordance with state and federal regulations on the waterfront walkway in the proposed waterfront park located adjacent to and within the rail yard property recently acquired by the City. STATEMENT OF FACT: The City is applying for up to $150,000 of SO - called -enhancement grape^ Federal transportation dollars to help fund some of the proposed public improvements in the rail yard/waterfront area.
