Commentary;
this is the seventeenth renewal for the Immunization Program
Grant(s). This year, for the second time, the grants) are
divided into two functions -- Horsing and Health Educator,
this is the second year of a possible four year renewal.
The total amount of this year's grant is $50,000 which represents
total funding for the program. _.
The purpose of the program is to coordinate and facilitate Child-
hood immunization for vaccine-preventable diseases.

the City Manager is authorized to apply for and accept from
the State of Maine, Department of Human Services, Bureau of Health a grant
in the amount 6f $60,970 for continuation of immunization services
(nursing) to be administered by the City of Bangor, Department of Health
and Welfare for the period 1/1/97 to 12/31/97.
