The meeting was called to order at 1:03 p.m. There was a review of the April 3, 2009 summary, Bill motioned, with Jackie seconded for approval. Next the May 28, 2009 summary, George motioned, and Bill seconded for approval. David Gould provided an overview of the revised Guidelines for Municipal Shoreland Zoning Ordinances. Jackie asked what the implications were. Bill asked what exactly/where were the differences. The point was made that proposed changes would place many developed properties into nonconformance. Basically, two questions: 1) What are the geographical differences? 2) What are the Land Use differences? Lucy stated there was a lack of involvement of agencies with the Task Force. The general consensus was that it would be helpful to have side by side comparisons for both geographic and Land Use differences and the impact on existing development. David suggested creation an informal sub committee to review this issue with Staff, consisting of George, Bill, Tricia, and Cindy (your notes are to check with Cindy) Future Discussion items Jim will finish revising the Draft Activity Report (about half done) and circulate prior to the next meeting. Lucy mentioned the concern of some of Council Members and others that weren’t sure the Penjajawoc Marsh/Bangor Mall Management Commission should continue. Ed and Jim noted that many on the Council, etc. were not familiar with the history involving the first unsuccessful WalMart project. Bill motioned to adjourn, seconded by Marion. Meeting adjourned at 1:48 p.m. 1
