HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-04-12 Airport Committee Minutes Meeting Agenda City of Bangor Airport Committee rd City Council Chambers 3 Floor April 12, 2016 The following City Councilors were in attendance: Airport Committee Chair Joseph Baldacci Councilors Gibran Graham, Nelson Durgin, Sarah Nichols, David Nealley, Joshua Plourde, and Joseph Perry. Also in attendance was Airport Director Tony Caruso. Agenda: 1. Garedc, Inc. lease and concession amendment. Airport Director Caruso indicated that this is a request to adjust the rental schedule, which will match the rental schedule of the other gift shop concession at Bangor International Airport. This request will authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the lease and concession agreement between the City of Bangor and Gardec, Inc., d/b/a The Grasshopper Shop, for rental of Room #203 within the Domestic Terminal. Motion approved by Councilor Nealley and seconded by Councilor Durgin 2. Airport statistics-March 2016 Airport Director Caruso indicated that overall March was a good healthy month. The domestic passenger numbers are down from March 2015 about 8% and YTD was down about 5%. The major effects was due to Delta stopping the Detroit flight for about one to one a half months. The Detroit flights are now back on the schedule. United will start early June and run thru October, every day and during peak summer twice a day. United will also start a new service to LGA starting June and run thru September with weekend flights. March load factors has increased with Allegiant at 87%, Delta at 73%, and American at 81%. The Market share is a good mix with American at 46%, Delta at 24% and Allegiant at 38%. DOD fuel was up by 27 % and YTD was up by 36%. The Airport is averaging half a million gallons per month for military traffic! Meeting Adjoined.
