Abatement Request: 30 Yankee Avenue, Account #9435204 Art explained that during the construction of the residence, the sewer was connected to the stormdrain, as opposed to the sewer. In November the situation was discovered and connected to the sewer system. The residents had two year of sewer bills, of which they didn’t have serve. Councilor Baldacci moved and Councilor Blanchette seconded. Vote: Unanimous Approval 5. Amendment to Schedule XVI, One-Way Streets, McKinley Street McKinley Street is situated on the east side off Center Street. Art was requesting to hold a public hearing for the citizens in a one block area from Norfolk to Center. McKinley is a very narrow street with a raised sidewalk that doesn’t allow for two vehicle traffic. The residents had requested a one-way. Councilor Baldacci asked if there were safety issues, to which Art responded there was. Councilor Baldacci moved and Councilor Longo seconded to authorize the Director of Public Services to hold a public hearing. Councilor Blanchette asked about the amount of traffic and if it would be dangerous to exit onto Center Street. Art explained there were nine homes on the street, with not much cut through traffic except for emergency traffic. Councilor Blanchette stated she was not opposed, the same thing had been done on Blackstone Street. Councilor Longo asked about the status of Coombs Street. Art explained it would remain a one-way from Forest to Parkview, which was most favored by the residents at the public meeting. Vote: Unanimous Approval Meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:08 p.m. 2
