MotionmadebyCouncilorBlanchettetotableandwasseconded. 2.DiscussionwastheUnionStreetBridgeProject Thisitemwasinadvertentlyremovedfromtheagenda,however,discussionwouldcontinueasMDOT representativeswerepresentatthemeeting. DonEtingerpresentedaslideshowandhandoutswereprovided.Thereweretwopublicmeetingsin 2010/2012heldwithlowattendance.Announcementswouldbemadeontheradio,handoutswould beprovided,Maine.govwebsitewouldpostofupcomingprojectandupdates.Therewouldbe thirteenmessageboardsonroutetwotothreeweeksinadvanceofproject. CouncilorDurginandCouncilorNealleyexpressedconcernregardingthedetouratSunsetandAutumn ParkandaccessandinquiredwhetherconversationshadtakenplacewithPublicServices. SteveBodgenotedtherehadbeenatremendousamountofresourcesutilizedintheroutingforboth emergencymobilizationandsafetyduringtheproject.DiscussionsbetweenPublicWorks,Fire, Emergencyresponseayearandahalfago.BruceMattsonalsostatedtherewasa20082011corridor 1 studyidentifyingadeficiencyItheaccelerationrateontotherampanditwasidentifiedasahighcrash location.Stevealsonotedtheylookedatfifteenalternativestoincludetotalclosure.Donalsostated pedestrianaccesswouldbemaintained.Forcomplaints,thepointofcontactwouldbeDon,Bruce,or Troy,ProjectManager,oroverallcontact,SteveBodge. CouncilorBaldaccirequestedtheslidesbeplacedontheCitywebsite. KatyHughesspokeofconcernaboutcustomeraccesstoherbusinessandrequestedtherebean alternatedetourroutetogothroughAutumnWest.Stevereminderherthathestoodonherlawn severaltimesanddiscussedwithhersonandofferedtohelpwithadsontheradiothatherbusiness wouldbeopen,offeredsignage,andwouldtakesuggestionstomakethiswork.Healsoindicatedthat thebuswoulddropoffpedestrians300’400’atthefourlanesectionofUnionandatTexasAvenue. CouncilorBaldaccirequestedDanatoworkwithKatyHughestofacilitate,withminimaldisruptionand apublicnoticebeplacedonthegovernmentchannel. Duetotimeconstraintsandameetingfollowing,CouncilorBaldaccisuggestedmovingtoanother roomtodiscussthefollowingagendaitems.CathyConlowstatedtheywerenottimesensitiveand couldbeplacedonthenextagenda.CouncilorBlanchettesuggestedlimitingthatagendatothose itemsonly. 3.Update:ExtensionofPublicWayPortionofVentureWay ğĬƌĻķ 4.Update:WestSideVillage/MainStreetRevitalization ğĬƌĻķ 5.Discussion:CrossInsuranceCenterTrafficManagement ğĬƌĻķ MeetingadjournedtoaccommodatethePlanningBoardmeeting. 2
