Responsible Department: Legal
FY 1992 and 1993 tax liens recorded against nine properties listed
in the attached Order were paid by the taxpayers concerned prior to
expiration of the statutory redemption period. However, tax lien
discharges were not recorded at the Penobscot Registry of Deeds.
The attached Order would authorize execution of municipal quitclaim
deeds to correct this oversight. The deeds will be prepared and
recorded at the City's expense.
The Finance Committee recommended approval of this item at its July
20th committee meeting.

The CITY OF BANGOR, a body corporate, located in Bangor,
Penobscot County, Maine, for Consideration paid, releases t0
MALCOLM S. & CHARLES J. DAVIS, both of Bangor, Penobscot County.
State of Maine, the land in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, with
improvements thereon, described as follows:
Real estate located at 4 B Street in Birch Hill
Estates in said Bangor, and further described as
a 1981 14x72 Burlington Mobile Home, Serial
Number Sk723EIk Said property is further
designated in City records as real estate
account number 50438, Assessor's Map B39, Lot 2.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for tax year
1993 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien `
recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in
Volume 5343, Page 196.
The purpose of this deed is to convey any and all right,
title and interest in and to the described property which the City
of Bangor may have acquired by virtue of an undischarged municipal
tax lien assessed against Malcolm S. and Charles J. Davis for tax
year 1993- All interests of the City of Bangor in and to the
above-described premises for roads, utilities, or other public
purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
