RESOLVED,
WHEREAS, Evelyn Belanger Of Old Town, Maine passed away on May
13, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Will of Evelyn Belanger names the "Bangor Animal
Shelter' as devisee of twelve and one-half percent
(12 1/24) of the residual estate; and
WHEREAS, the personal representative of the Belanger estate has
determined that funds in the amount of $7,985.45 are
payable to the City of Bangor under this provision, and
has paid the amount concerned over to the City of
Bangor,
NOW, THEREFORE, by the City Council of the City of Bangor be it
RESOLVED, THAT the City of Bangor hereby gratefully acknowledges
receipt of Evelyn Belanger's generous bequest in the
amount of $7,905.45; and be it further
RESOLVED, TRAP the sum of $7,985.45 in unanticipated revenues
received from the Belanger estate are hereby v
appropriated to the City of Bangor's trust and agency
account for the care of injured, sick or abandoned
animals (account number 600-20309010), to be held,
invested and expended in accordance with the purposes
of that fund.

Dear Mr. Stumpfel,
Please find enclosed for your review a final listing of Expenses and hlcome in the
Belanger Entre matter. Also enclosed is a copy of the filings with the Penobscot County Probate
Cow indicating a closing of the Estate.
The Bangor Animal Shelter is entitled to a check for 12'6 %ofthe Estate proceeds of
$63,883.63 which Nods $7,985.45. Enclosed is a breakdown of the final distributions. Please
confect my office to schedule a time to pick up the check at my office and sign for it or in have a
represinamfive of my office present the check in a designated member of the Bangor Animal
Shelter. This distribution awaited the filing of 1997 totes, the resolution of the personal property
issue and the resolution of my potential Humane Society claim over the City of Reagan's share;
all of which have been favorably resolved.
