Madzial, Housing s es Coordinator CC: SUBJECT: Park Woods Management Contract Amendment DATE: July 2, 1998 During our discussions this spring with the Air Force on the acquisition of the 51 surplus housing units on Randolph Drive, it became clear that the Air Force had assumed the transaction would have taken place by Match t. Therefore, the Air Force did not include any budget authority for mowing the grass. Due to the fact that the grass was getting extremely high, and many complaints were received, the Air Force contacted the City through Senator Collin's Office and asked if the City would agree to mow the grass being as we were going to take title to the property within a couple weeks. At this point, the grass needed cul immediately. There was no time to put this project through the bid process. It was decided to just amend the current Park Woods Management Contract (which includes mowing the Park Woods area) with the Bangor Housing Authority to add the mowing of this area. This Amendment adds the Randolph Drive surplus housing area mowing responsibility to the existing contract for one year, or 15 mowings at $478 per mowing, for a total contract amendment of $7,170.00.
