Mike: In response to the recent budget issues on the bativoom portion of the Bass Park improvement issues please now the following: o As you will recall the project was setup in sonority fashion with the intend to bid each phase in the order of importance. The order determined was: — 41 - Men's/Women's Toilets — 42 Food Corot H3 - Civic Center Improvements It was understood that the overall budget ($250;0002) would not be exceeded, however, an early priority item could exceed budget as long an overall balance was maintained. o When the design for the toilet facilities was done it was acknowledged that this area, unlike finish areas in other spaces, would most likely never be redone in the remaining life of the facility. This was in pan recognizing that the original bathrooms had received virtually no improvements since iridal construction. o With this in mind, the design reflected high quality, high performance plumbing products, and importantly a highly durable and attractive interior finish of ceramic the on walls and flan. o The design also incorporated not only the expansion (by double) ofthe space but also replaced all plumbing fixtures with commereiat grade flushometer type with sensors. The original plan was to add new fixtures but to retain existing futures where possible. eWMWWoIsne Tit mvwnmm Emau:wawsrn.am m+ca.s 8Wh s"w oawreaf m+mw a.'mamxrw.a nmcarts mwncaw n.cmacv., amnm.rn,• uea.sa.ma Mr. Mike Dyer Page 2 o .This new interior finish together with, a concealed perimeter lighting system is whet we have come to expect m current faci7iues similar to ours. o The fax bids that were reviewed are all very tight in competence indicating the bid urns reasonable compared to all other bids. In fact, the difference between the two low bids was 3.5%. M.
