The Sabots have now dismissed their bankruptcy and paid all outstanding real estate taxes. Because we are now past the lien maturity date a municipal quitclaim deed is necessary to clear title to the property. Note: Under federal bankruptcy law, the City could not foreclose its FY 1996 tax lien while the Sabots' Chapter 13 petition was pending, without permission of the bankruptcy court. The Zabots' Chapter 13 petition was dismissed on May 13, 1998. As of that date, the Sabots had paid off the PY '96 lien.
