On June 5, 1996 a lien for unpaid real estate taxes was recorded
against 62 Meadowbrook Road. The taxes were paid before the
maturity date of the lien, but the discharge was not recorded until
December 5, 1997. The property Is being sold and the title company
has asked for a municipal quitclaim deed because of the recording
date of the discharge. A closing on the property was scheduled for
May 28, 1998, hence the need for ratification.

City Solicitor in executing and delivering a municipal quitclaim
deed, releasing tax title to property located at 62 Meadowbrook
Road to Judith H. Cooper is hereby ratified and confirmed.
A Copy of the deed is attached to this Resolve and is

The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation, located in
Bangor, Penobscot County. Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
Paid, releases to JUDITH B. COOPER, as Grantee, of Portland,
Cumberland County, Maine, the property located in said Bangor and
more particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 62 Meadowbrook Road in
said Bangor and further described in Volume
2224, Page .529, Penobscot Registry of Deeds.
This property is further designated as City of
Bangor real estate tax account number 13920,
Assessor's Map R71, Lot 25C.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any
interest the Grantor may have in the above-described property by
virtue of a tax lien dated June 5, 1996 and recorded in the
Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Volume 6139, Page 183. Said
lien was discharged by instrument dated December 5, 1997 but
recorded beyond the lien maturity date in Volume 6557, Page 170.
All public easements or other public interests in the described
premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are expressly
reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
NKUI. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorised, this
day of May, 1998.
