Item No. 98-217
Item/Subject: Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed
-- Real Estate Located at 96 East Broadway
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary:
The Treasurer's office has informed us that real estate taxes
assessed against real estate located at 96 East Broadway for the
years 1996, 1997 and 1998 have been paid by Mr. Sproul. In April
the Committee had approved entering into a workout agreement with
Mr. Sproul. However, Mr. Sproul was able to pay all the
outstanding taxes at one time. This order would authorize the
release of the City's interest In the property by virtue of the
matured 1996 tax lien.
There are no outstanding sewer charges. In addition, there are no
code issues with the property. The Finance Committee recommended
approval at its May 18th meeting.
