1. Consent Agenda
a. Resolve 17-138, Accepting and Appropriating a $30,000 Donation form the Stephen
and Tabitha King Foundation to Purchase Thermal Imaging Cameras for the Bangor
Fire Department
Motion made and seconded to recommend passage to City Council. Motion passed
unanimously.
2. Bids/Purchasing
a. Fire Department Vehicle — Fire — Quirk Ford Chevrolet - $36,721
Motion made and seconded to award contract to Quirk Ford Chevrolet, motion passed
unanimously.
b. Pavement Marking Services — Public Works — Fine Line and Wilsons Ground
Motion made and seconded to split bids and award contract for long lines to Fine Line
and all other line services to Wilsons Ground, motion passed unanimously.
c. Request to Waive Bid Process — Flow Isolation Services — Engineering — Ted Berry
Company - $18,690
Motion made and seconded to contract with Ted Berry Company for flow isolation
services in the Carr Brook system, motion passed unanimously.
d. Request to Waive Bid Process — Broadway/Center Street Detection — Public Works —
Highway Tech - $11,160
Motion made and seconded to purchase detection equipment from Highway Tech,
motion passed unanimously.
e. Request to Extend Contract — Rock Salt — Public Works — New England Salt -
$56.19/ton
Motion made and seconded to recommend a one year contract extension to New
England Salt to the City Council. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Executive Session — 36 MRSA Section 841 (2) — Hardship Abatement
4. Open Session — Hardship Abatement Decision
Motion made and seconded to accept Staff recommendation of a partial abatement, motion
passed unanimously.
