The Treasurer's office has informed us that real estate taxes
assessed against land located at 69 Meadowbrook Road for the years
1996, 1997 and 1998 have been paid. This Order would authorize the
release of the City's interest in the property.
The Finance Committee recommended approval at its May 6th meeting

Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed

ORDERED,
THAT Ronald 1. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate (land) located at 64 Meadowbrook Road in said Bangor by
virtue of an undischarged real estate tax lien recorded in
Penobscot County Registry of Deeds in Book 6139, Page 184. Said
deed shall be directed to Judith B. Cooper.

MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED
The CxTY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation, located is
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
paid, releases to JUDITH B. COOPER, as Grantee, of Portland,
Cumberland County, Maine, the property located in said Bangor and
more particularly described as follows:
Land located at 64 Meadowbrook Road in said
Bangor and further described in Volume 2513,
Page 278, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. This
property is further designated as City of Bangor
real estate tax account number 79716, Assessor's
Map R71, Lot 25B.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for tax year
1996 by virtue Of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in
Volume 6139, Page 184.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any
interest the Grantor may have in the above-described property by
virtue of unpaid taxes assessed against Judith B. Cooper for tax
year 1996. All public easements or other public interests in the
described premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are
expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of May. 1997.
