Commentary:
The Treasurer's office has informed us that real estate taxes
assessed against real estate located at 18 First Street for the
year 1988 were paid and accepted by the City several years ago.
However, at the time a quitclaim deed was not recorded. This Order
would authorize the release of the City's interest in the property.
The property is still owned by the same owners, and the real estate
tax account is otherwise current.

ORDERED.
THAT Ronald E. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 18 First Street in said Bangor by virtue of an
undischarged real estate tax lien recorded in Penobscot County
Registry Of Deeds in Book 4443, Page 111. Said deed shall be
directed to Mt. Hope Associates c/o Peter DoW ey.

The CITY OF RANCOR, a municipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, for consideration paid, releases
to W. HOPE ASSOCIATES of Bangor, Penbscot County, Maine, the
property located in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, more
particularly bounded and described as follows:
Real estate located at 18 First Street in said
Bangor, and described in a deed recorded in
Volume 4035, Peg 163, Penobscot Registry of
Deeds. This property is further designated as
real estate account number 23565, Assessor's Map
42, Lot 48.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for tax year
1988 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds in
Book 4443, Page 111.
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the
City may have in the above-described property by virtue of unpaid
taxes assessed for tax year 1988 assessed against Mt. Hope
Associates.
All public easements or other public interests in the
described premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are
expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
Baled with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of March, 1998.
