The Fire Department has established a training site on the Colin
Road adjacent to the Airport. To comply with revenue self-
sufficiency requirements under the Federal Aviation Act and
applicable FAA regulations, the Fire Department agrees to provide
the Airport Department with fire protection services in
consideration for the use of the property.
The Airport Committee recommended approval at its February 24, 1999
meeting.

ORDERED,
TEAT the City Manager and the Airport Director are hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Memo-
randum of Understanding between the City of Bangor Fire Department
and the City of Bangor Airport Department for the use by the Fire
Department of City of Bangor property adjacent to the Airport. A
copy of said Memorandum of Understanding is attached to this Order.

executed Memorandum of Understanding between the City Manager and
the Airport Director regarding fire protection services at the
Airport. The second original has been retained by the Airport
Department.
This Memorandum was executed pursuant to Council Order
#99-115 passed on March 10. 1999.

The City of Bangor, by its undersigned City Manager and Airport Director, hereby
memorializes the following understanding with respect to the use of certain reel property
owned by the City:
RECITALS
1. The City of Bangor, through it Airport Department, is the owner of certain real
property located off Odlin Road, Bangor, more particularly described in Exhibit A
attached.
2. The City of Bangor Fire Department provides cerin Bre protection services to
the City of Bangor Airport Department.
3. The said City property is subject to airport self-sufficiency requirements under
the provisions of the Federal Aviation Act and Federal Aviation Administration
regulations implementing the Federal Aviation ACL That smtme and those regulations
require all property acquired with Federal assistance under the provisions of the Federal
Aviation Act or related statutes w be utilized to support economical operations, or to
generate revenue to support aeronautical operations.
4. The current assessed value of the property for municipal tax purposes is $6,000.
The current tax assessment is based on and refiects the fair markm value of the property.
UNDERSTANDING
For the purpose of complying with revenue self-sufficiency requirements under
the Federal Aviation Act and applicable FAA regulations, the City of Bangor hereby
agrees to provide the Airport Department with fire protection services in consideration for
the use of the property described in Exhibit A attached, provided that, however, the City
of Bangor shall create no additional impervious surface on said property.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Memorandum of Understanding bas been
executed by Edward A. Barren, City Manager, City of Bangor, and Bob W. Ziegelam,
