HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-03-10 99-110 RESOLVECOUNCIL ACTION Item No. 99-110 Date Marchln 1999 Item/Subject: Ratifying Execution and Delivery of Municipal Quitclaim Deed -- Real Estate Located at 327 Ohio Street Responsible Department: Legal In March and September 1996, two sewer deeds were recorded against property located at 327 Ohio Street owned by Robert Mersinger. In addition to outstanding sewer charges, 1998 and 1998 real estate taxes are outstanding. The total amount due is slightly in excess of $2,000. A sale of the property took place on February 26, 1999. In order to meet this deadline, a municipal quitclaim deed was issued upon receipt of payment of all outstanding amounts. Code Enforcement has been working with the new owaer to resolve all code issues, and has recommended that the sale go through. The purpose of this Resolve is to ratify the actions of the Legal and Finance Departments. The Finance Committee recommended approval at its March let meeting. MERSINGER of Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantee, a certain lot or parcel of land with the buildings thereon, situate in the City of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, more particularly described as follows, viz: Real estate located at 327 Ohio Street in said Bangor, and further described in deeds recorded in Volume 3425, Page 150 and Volume 5585, Page 304, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Designated further in City records as Assessor's Map 30, Lot 23, real estate account number 34067. Any and all other rights, easements, privileges and appurtenances belonging to the granted estate are hereby conveyed. The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantee any interest the Grantor may have in the above described property by virtue of matured sewer liens assessed against Robert J. Mersinger and recorded in Book 6065, Page243, and Book 6222, Page 154, Penobscot Registry Of Deeds. All public easements or other public interests in the described premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are expressly reserved.
