Commentary:
A real estate tax lien for tax year 1984 was paid by the taxpayers
n 1986. At the time, a quitclaim deed was prepared and mailed to
the taxpayers but apparently not recorded in the Registry Of
Deeds. Due to the age of the lien, a quitclaim deed is now
required.
This Order would authorize release of the City's interest in the
property to the current owners, Donald and Barbara Harriman. There
are no existing code violations with the property, and the tax
account is current.
The Finance Committee recommended approval at its Fernery 1, 1999
meeting.

ORDEM,
TEAT Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 362 Ohio Street in said Bangor by virtue of
an undischarged real estate tax lien recorded in Book 3524, Page
95 in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed
to Donald K. and Barbara K. Harriman, a copy of said deed being
attached hereto.

MUNICIPAL ODITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
Paid. releases to DONALD K. & BARBARA K. HARRIMAN, as Grantees, of
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, all its right, title and interest
in and to certain property located in said Bangor and more
Particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 362 Ohio Street in said
Bangor and further described in Volume 3166,
Page 285, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said
property is further designated as City real
estate account number 00505, Assessor's Map 20,
Lot 56.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for the year
1984 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of
Deeds in Book 3524, Page 95.
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the
City may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid
real estate taxes assessed for tax year 1984 against Donald K. 6
Barbara K. Harriman. This deed replaces a municipal quitclaim deed
Previously issued in 1986, which is unrecorded and apparently
lost. All public easements or other public interests in the
described premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are
expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
Baled with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of February, 1999.
